One of the most important and irreversible decisions you will be making is where and how the cremation will take place. At Beck Funeral Home we own our own crematory! It is dedicated to serving our families by providing the highest quality cremation service. As a leader in our industry, our policies and procedures are designed to give complete peace of mind to families who choose cremation. And whether it’s for peace of mind, or in order to help achieve a better sense of closure, many people not only want to see where the cremation will take place, but also take part in some form of final tribute or ceremony at the crematory.

At Beck Funeral Home we offer a chapel for families wishing to have an identification viewing or a committal service, or for those who wish to be present when the cremation begins or even during the entire cremation process. You are welcome and encouraged to inspect our operation at any time, and educate yourself as to what we do here, so you can compare us to other crematories and appreciate the differences. Our ultimate goal is to help you achieve a secure feeling of satisfaction and validation regarding your selection of cremation. Please call us about visiting our facility.

We also have created a “Care Process” so that you know your loved one never leaves our care but more importantly; so that you know your loved ones remains are returne

Cremation Trust –10 Step Process

  1. Transfer into our care

Our Funeral directors oversee each step in the process from the transfer of your loved one into our care, the cremation and the return of your loved one’s cremated remains. Your loved one will be kept in refrigeration right up until their time for cremation.

  2. Safeguarding personal identity

To ensure security, a personal identification medallion is placed on your loved one at the moment your loved one enters our care.

  3. Unique tracking system

Upon arrival, your loved one is logged into our tracking system and assigned an identification number. This number is used to track every phase of the cremation process. Our tracking system includes date and time of arrival at our facility and name of the transfer technician. Personal belongings are cataloged and placed in a secure area for their return to the family.

  4. Family identification

If you wish, immediately before cremation you may see your loved one to say goodbye. You can see that the crematory is clean. If you desire, you can wait in our waiting room and read a book until the cremation is finished.

  5. Checks and balances to ensure correct paperwork

Two individuals, a cremation technician and a funeral home staff member, will review all cremation paperwork and permits. This is to ensure authorization and permits have been properly documented.

  6. Cremation log book

Immediately prior to the cremation process, your loved one is taken to our private crematory and the personal ID is noted in our cremation log book. This shows the name of the individual, date and time of the cremation, ID number, and the crematory operator’s name. Our crematory log is dated and the start time is noted and initialed by a cremation technician before and after the cremation.

  7. Final Farewell

One advantage of choosing our funeral home is that they offer a private identification prior to the cremation process.

  8. Details during the cremation

The crematory checklist and identification card are placed on the outside of the cremation chamber during the cremation process.

  9. Details after the cremation

After the cremation is complete, the cremated remains are processed and placed into an urn or other suitable container. The ID medallion is placed into your loved ones remains.

  10. Return of the cremated remains

Our staff will notify you to schedule a time for receipt of the cremated remains. At this time, we will provide a dignified setting in which to receive the urn, where you may spend a few moments privately, in quiet reflection.
