Beck Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. is one of the oldest family owned, independently operated funeral homes in York County.

Beck Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. is one of the oldest family owned, independently operated funeral homes in York County. The firm was established in 1887 by the Sauter family and purchased in 1982 by Robert and Carole Irwin.  In June of 2009, Chris Beck, and his wife Laura purchased the funeral home. In October of 2014 we finished the construction of a state of the art crematory with a private chapel. Having our own crematory assures you that your loved one never leaves our care. In March of 2019, we opened a new funeral home in East York on the site of the old Stoneybrook Drive In Theater. The facility in York is run by our son Nicholas Beck. In September of 2020, we welcomed the Murphy Funeral Home, Inc. of McSherrystown into our family of funeral homes.  The McSherrystown funeral home will continue operation under its new name, Murphy–Beck Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc.

Having funeral homes throughout York and Adams County will position us to reach more families so that we can continue the long standing tradition of personally providing service to families 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

Beck Funeral Home is honored to serve all area residents with personal and dignified service regardless of race, religion, creed, or socioeconomic status. Services may include traditional funerals with viewing, visitation, cremation, memorial service, graveside service, prearranged services and follow-up care. Each family is encouraged to memorialize their loved one in a manner that personally reflects individual lifestyle and means.
