Obituary for Richard Pienschke

Richard F. Pienschke, age 71, passed away at home on October 29, 2018. He was the loving husband of the late Edith K. (Christensen) Pienschke, who recently passed away on October 14, 2018; together they shared over 43 years of marriage.
Richard was born in Wisconsin Rapids WI on April 10, 1947 and was the son of the late Frank and Myrtle (Kitrush) Pienschke. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged. Richard served in support of Department of Defense operations during the Apollo XI mission, the first Moon landing. He worked for P.H. Glatfelter in Spring Grove as an Electrical Engineer, in the Power and Steam Department for many years prior to retiring.
Richard is survived by his daughter Kristene Pienschke and his son Eric Pienschke and his wife Angie. He is also survived by his sisters Sr. Darlene Pienschke and Donna Moffit. He was predeceased by his brother Gary Pienschke.
Following cremation, a memorial service, in celebration of Richard’s life will be held on Saturday November 3, 2018 at 11:00 am at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Rd., York with Pastors Paul and Sara Gausmann officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in fellowship hall at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to MSOE, Milwaukee School of Engineering.
