Donna is a Life-Cycle Celebrant with a profound passion to help others during their time of grief. She is a graduate of the Celebrant Foundation & Institute in New Jersey with a certificate in Funeral Celebrancy. It is Donna's belief that every person has traveled their life's journey with a story that should be told and preserved.

 

As a Life-Cycle Celebrant, Donna is a professional officiant trained in the history of rituals, ceremonies, beliefs and cultures. Donna's career as an educator and school administrator enhances her expertise of ceremony design and public speaking.

 

Pre-Planning

Tell your own story with passion as you share your life's journey. A journey in which you know the challenges you faced and the accomplishments you reached with dignity and endurance.

 

Leave your loved ones with an extraordinary gift of unconditional love, faith and hope through your personal written and created Celebration of Life.

How is the Story of this Journey told?

Your funeral director will contact me on your behalf.

 

The next step is to arrange a meeting between myself and designated members of the loved one's family or friends.

 

Memories will be shared as I listen with compassion, learning about your loved one's character, spirit and passions.

 

This is the beginning of the healing process where yesterday's memories of your loved one become today's treasures.

 

After our meeting, I will spend hours crafting a Celebration of Life from these stories and memories. Appropriate readings, quotations, music and rituals can be included that nourish the soul, calm the spirit and bring peaceful memories.

 

I will be honored to write and deliver a eulogy that captures your loved one's personality, incorporating heart-warming memories that portray the story of their life. A written copy of this eulogy will be presented to you so that your loved one's legacy helps to ease your grief.

 

A Journey Remembered is a ceremony designed to be a great asset to those who have no faith background, varying faith backgrounds or who are spiritual or secular and have no church affiliation. I can also work with your clergy to form a unique, personalized and meaningful Celebration of Life.
